A white dove release and display service.
How
can I have doves released if I'm having a church wedding?
Following
the ceremony, the birds can be released outside of the church in place
of rice, confetti, or bubbles. They may also be released at the
reception center or any other place that will enhance your celebration.
What happens to the doves when they are released?
Our well trained birds will circle together in the air four or five
times and then fly back to their loft in North Cass County Missouri.
Can doves be released indoors?
No, it is not safe for the doves. There is too high of a risk
for injury from lights and other obstacles. They can however be
a beautiful display indoors.
Will the birds make a mess?
While we cannot make promises against call of nature, we keep our birds
on a specific diet and monitor their general health daily to prevent...er...accidents.
As yet we have not had a mess.
When can the birds be released?
For the safety of the birds, they can only be released during daylight
hours, up to 2 hours before sunset, depending on your location.
We will not allow our birds to fly during inclement weather.
Who will conduct my release? A release coordinator from All Occasion Doves will arrive at least 1 hour before your event. We will be dressed appropriately and prepared for your release on time.
What types of doves are released and displayed? Our release birds, also known as rock doves, are from white racing pigeon stock and are banded accordingly with American Racing Pigeon Union bands. Our display doves are pure white ring neck doves.
I live outside your
release area. Can I have birds shipped to me for release? No. Our
birds must always be accompanied by a trained handler and will not be
released beyond a range that they are able to safely fly.
If the birds can only be released during the daylight hours, how
can I use them in the evening?
Our doves would be an extraordinary display for any evening event.
We have several different types of display cages (hanging cages, baskets,
cages on pedestals) for you to choose from.
What happens if the weather prevents a release at my event?
You will be fully refunded less a $25 travel and handling fee.
If you would like, we can then attempt to make arrangements to display
doves indoors at your event.
